Administration of Estates
We understand that the period following the death of a relative is a difficult time and the responsibility of dealing with the administration of an estate at a time when you are bereaved can be incredibly daunting. We offer a sensitive yet practical service, helping to deal with the legal challenges that such an event presents.
We appreciate how important it is to have someone on hand to guide you through the administration process which is why we provide you with a specialist Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive who will be on hand throughout. We are proud to have achieved the high standards required by the Law Society’s Wills and Inheritance Quality Scheme (WIQS) and combine our specialist knowledge and years of experience with an understanding and considerate approach.
We offer a free initial meeting with a specialist lawyer to explain the administration process and then provide a fixed fee for the service you require which provides certainty to you from the outset.
Depending on your requirements we can either provide a full estate administration service whereby we advise on every aspect from start to conclusion of the administration to include reporting to you throughout. We explain the Inheritance Tax position, guide you on timings of payment, deal with any claims for allowances and advise on any trust provisions within the Will. Further we prepare all tax returns to the date of death and for the administration period.
Alternatively, if you would prefer our involvement to be limited to obtaining the Grant of Representation then we can provide a ‘Grant only’ service allowing you to then deal with the administration to conclusion.
Our Wills and Probate team has decades of collective experience in delivering high quality work. Click here for their biographies.
