Nick Ball, Senior Associate in Business Law
Nick is a company commercial solicitor with experience of advising private limited companies, mainly owner managed and family owned businesses. He helps clients buy or sell businesses, either by acquiring the shares of a company or “cherry picking” the assets. Nick advises on strategy, negotiates the transactional documents and gets the deal done.
Nick also deals with other corporate work and arrangements, including share buybacks, shareholder agreements and articles of association, joint venture agreements and he regularly advises on or prepares other general commercial contracts. He has experience of lending and associated security documents and has frequently advised directors on the terms and effect of giving a personal guarantee in connection with corporate lending.
Nick read law at Kingston University before studying the post graduate diploma in legal practice at the College of Law in Guildford. He qualified as a solicitor in 2010 and, prior to joining TWM in 2018, worked at another law firm in Surrey. He is a director and the Honorary Treasurer of The Surrey Law Society, which is the sixth largest local law society in England and Wales.
