Michael Jones, Consultant in Commercial Property
Michael's principal areas of work are commercial property and residential property development, acting for a variety of development and property investment companies, as well as private land owners in their dealings with property developers.
He has a busy practice in commercial property leasehold work, dealing with a wide variety of offices, hotels, pubs, retail shops and warehouses, acting for both landlords and tenants. Property development work includes site assembly, options, Section 106 agreements covering issues such as infrastructure contributions and affordable homes, and advice on Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL).
After graduating in law from Warwick University, and post-graduate qualification at the College of Law, Michael completed his training as a solicitor in the City. He joined the TWM Solicitors practice, as it now is, in 1977.
Outside legal practice, Michael is Chairman of Governors of Reigate College and a corporation member of Coulsdon Sixth Form College where he chairs its Finance & General Purposes Committee.
Michael is a Trustee of the charity Social Information on Disability (SID), and company secretary of Reigate Business Guild. He is also a member of the Board of Management of Cherchefelle Housing Association.
