Blaise is a first year trainee solicitor currently undertaking his second seat in Family Law working out of the firm’s Epsom office. He previously completed his first seat in the firm's Residential Property team, based in Guildford.
Blaise received an international education, obtaining his International Baccalaureate in Beijing, China. He then studied Law at the University of York, before completing the Legal Practice Course (LPC) at BPP University in Holborn, London where he graduated with a distinction.
Prior to joining TWM, Blaise was a Legal Assistant at a large domestic law firm, with one of his highlights there being his involvement in a review team investigating international human rights abuses.
Blaise has previously volunteered at the Lambeth Law Centre, interviewing and advising clients on housing and contract law issues on a pro-bono basis. He was also an advisor at a London-based employment law ‘telephone advice line’ service, providing legal advice on employment issues to people in need of urgent help.
Blaise has had experience as an advisor at the Legal Services of Eastern Missouri, a non-profit organisation in the USA, focusing on fostering meaningful economic development in disadvantaged communities by providing free legal advice on start-ups and projects. Blaise was involved in giving legal advice to clients trying to develop their business under supervision and helped organise fundraising events.
Outside of work, Blaise loves playing table tennis, going to theatre and opera performances and travelling, having previously travelled extensively in Asia and America. He also enjoys attending Surrey Junior Lawyers Division events and other networking events.
