Ashley Colin, Managing Associate in Enfranchisement
Ashley regularly advises both landlords and tenants in all aspects of claims for extending leases and joint freehold purchases both by private agreement and under the Leasehold Reform, Housing & Urban Development Act 1993. He also specialises in other areas of property law including all aspects of residential sales and purchases.
Ashley came to law as a second career. His previous experience included 7 years working as a commissioner and project manager in the NHS. He also spent 2 years working in Sri Lanka undertaking voluntary work advising the Sri Lankan Government and WHO on the development of community mental health services. Whilst in Sri Lanka Ashley obtained a Diploma in Counselling from the University of Peradeniya, complimenting his early years qualifications of; BSc (Hons) in Business Management, MSc (Marketing) and a Diploma from the Chartered Institute of Marketing.
In his spare time Ashley is a keen football fan and cyclist. He has successively (but not quickly) completed the 100 mile Ride London, the Paris Roubaix and Tour of Flanders sportives.
