Two of Guildford’s best known law firms, TWM Solicitors and Wright & Wright, have announced that they are to merge their practices on 31st January 2014. In the photograph are (l-r) Andrew Wright, Senior Partner, Wright & Wright, Angela Wright, Managing Partner, Wright & Wright, Matthew Truelove, Managing Partner, TWM Solicitors and Howard House, Senior Partner, TWM Solicitors.
Wright & Wright has been a well-respected pillar of the Guildford legal community for over 20 years, advising businesses on commercial property, corporate and commercial, franchising and employment; and individuals on Wills, probate and moving house. Senior Partner, Andrew Wright, commenting on the merger with TWM said:
“I believe joining with TWM is positive news for clients and our staff, all of whom are moving across. TWM is a firm that views client service in the same way that we do, but with the added benefit of being a larger operation, a major force in the local market, and better equipped to adapt to the new competitive forces our profession faces. In addition, we have witnessed the success when two other Guildford firms, Dawson Mason & Carr and Wheltons recently came into the TWM fold. The time is right for us to do the same.”
All Wright & Wright staff will relocate to TWM’s head office at 65 Woodbridge Road, Guildford on 31st January 2014. Wright & Wright’s clients will notice no difference in the service they receive, nor in the progress of their matters, bar the name change – it will be strictly “business as usual”.
TWM Solicitors’ Managing Partner, Matthew Truelove, commented:
“We are delighted to welcome Andrew and the Wright & Wright team to TWM. We have faced each other across the table on numerous occasions over the years, and having seen them work at close quarters I had no hesitation in pursuing the deal once it became apparent that an opportunity existed.
This merger is the third such strategic acquisition by TWM in the past 2 years and today’s news reflects once again our optimism for the future and we all look forward together with confidence to a successful 2014 and beyond. We, like Wright & Wright, pride ourselves on the highest standards of client care and on giving first class pragmatic advice and value for money. We are confident that this will be another example of a merger where everyone (in particular our clients) will be a winner.”
