Wills, Trusts & Estate Disputes
Our Philosophy
The disputes that we deal with inevitably involve issues which are highly emotional and of very great importance to the individuals concerned. The law in this area is complex. We provide a friendly and sympathetic service to our clients in order to ease their journey towards a resolution of the dispute in which they have become involved. Our advice is practical and pratmatic. Wills, trusts & estate disputes (also known as contentious trust and probate) is used to describe a wide range of specialist work in the following areas:
The team is led by partner Guy Perkins who specialises in disputes concerning wills, trusts and inheritance claims. Working alongside Guy is associate Siobhan McDonnell. Guy was asked to provide expert comment in this area for a Sunday Express article in November 2011.
They work closely with a number of selected barristers who are also experts in the field of Wills, trusts & estates disputes, work so that when circumstances require it, there is immediate access to additional expertise and resources.
The Firm also has a large and highly regarded Private Client team who deal with wills, trusts, the administration of estates and tax issues so that we also have a wide range of additional resources within the Firm that we can call upon as required.
An independnent view
"The Contentious Probate team at TWM under the leadership of Guy Perkins instruct many of our members of Chambers. The instructions we receive are of very high quality from the experienced team with in depth knowledge of this specialist area. In our view their work and expertise are on a par with a number of London firms with higher market profile.
