TWM Solicitors employee Lee Frawley to compete at London 2012 Paralympics  (14 May 2012)

Surrey resident, Lee Frawley has just found out that she has qualified and been selected to take part at the Paralympic Games in London this summer. She will be representing the country of her birth, US Virgin Islands, although she has been resident in Surrey for 30 years. She will be competing in the equestrian events: individual championship test and individual freestyle test.

Lee had a passion for show jumping and eventing from a young age and enjoyed the competitive element of these activities. It was 14 years ago, whilst riding that Lee had her accident, injuring her leg. With help from the Diamond RDA Centre and Mark Davis Injured Riders Fund, she was assisted with her rehabilitation and recovered to such a degree that she could continue competing and turned her efforts to Paradressage.

She will be competing on 31st August, 2 and 4 September. The vast majority of fellow competitors are full time riders. Training and competing is what Lee does in her spare time. She is employed as a PA by TWM Solicitors in their Reigate office. TWM have given Lee additional time off to train and compete in the lead up to the Games and she is also supported by Trifast PLC. Lee will be taking part at the London Games with or without additional support. However the costs associated with training, competing, travel and veterinary care are high. Any support, no matter how small or large would be well received. With Lee’s website and social media activity your generosity would we publicly recognised from now until the Games in August/September. Tickets to watch her compete are available for those who come forward with support, and your business and staff will know they are helping a dedicated competitor who is locally-based to achieve a lifetime’s ambition.

Below are examples of what a donation could contribute towards:

Horse Rug £150

FEI Horse Passport for international competition £200

Team competition kit £200

Saddlecloths and bandages £250

Lockable tack box on wheels £500

Music production for competition £500

Diesel costs for transportation £750
